Star quarterback Donovan McNabb will took off the eagles jersey. While he is not the only player who's on the trading block.
According to an NFL source with knowledge of the situation, the Eagles have held preliminary discussions with the Cleveland Browns about trading outside linebacker Chris Gocong to the AFC North franchise. No deal is imminent, but we’ve been told authoritatively that the rumors are more than mere rumors and that talks are expected to continue heading into the NFL draft. Gocong, a restricted free agent who has signed his $1.176 million one-year tender, is a former Eagles third-round draft pick
Gocong was replaced as the starting outside linebacker by rookie Moise Fokou at the end of last season.Gocong is regarded as a good fit for the Browns’ 3-4 scheme.
Gocong has registered 169 career tackles and four sacks in his career.

Mitchell to workout
Defensive tackle Earl Mitchell of Arizona Wildcats will have his workouts with the NFL. He may has the chance to wear eagles jersey.
The pounder racked up 44 tackles (31 solo) and six sacks for the 8-5 Wildcats in 2009. Mitchell amassed 78 stops, seven sacks and one forced fumble in three years at Arizona. A spark plug with good burst off the line, Mitchell turned some heads at the combine last month when he ran between 4.68 and 4.75 in the 40-yard-dash, according to multiple sources. Mitchell also turned in a 10-yard-split of between 1.56 and 1.63, which put him at the top of the class among defensive tackles in Indianapolis.

Sharper has not visited anyone else
Free-agent FS Darren Sharper with saints jersey told public that he still has not made a visit to another team.
"Right now, I am just concentrating on my rehab so I'm ready for OTAs wherever I'm playing." he told the paper. Sharper had minor cleanup surgery on his left knee in early March. He said he doesn’t know when he’ll be back to full speed and declined to discuss his search for a team. The Saints haven’t ruled out bringing him back.
Coach Sean Payton told the paper they’ll see. they’ll do that process, Certainly he’s a guy who was a big factor in our success a year ago. You know he’s a guy who not only us, (but) I’m sure a handful of teams are paying attention to.

No interest in McNabb deal
It is said that Rams are trying to get QB Donovan McNabb with eagles jersey, but a person familiar with the team's plans sre untrue.
Media outlets in Philadelphia on Wednesday reported the Rams had offered a second-round draft pick and safety Oshiomoghe Atogwe for McNabb. Atogwe is coming off shoulder surgery and ended the season on injured reserve, and would have to sign a tender offer before the Rams could trade him. He had made 60 consecutive starts and was the team's second-leading tackler before getting hurt in early December.
McNabb responded by issuing a statement saying he wants to remain in Philadelphia, but understood the quarterback situation and hoped the team made a decision soon.

Chargers released Byrd
Demetrius Byrd might say forever goodbye to his chargers jersey. He suffered serious injuries in a horrific car crash prior to the draft last year.
When they released him today, the Chargers seemed to be looking for a pat on the back about giving Byrd a chance. "Despite the injuries, the Chargers selected him and generously extended him a contract for the season," the Chargers said in a statement.
The comment could be interpreted as self-serving and seems unnecessary, and it prompted rumors that Byrd had perhaps been released for shenanigans on his Twitter account, including this comment: "Hey twitt fam is it gay to like justin bieber? Cuz I’m not gay but I’m feelin dat baby sng dat shit rockin right now on my cd also"
Byrd said he pans to go back to school at LSU where he says he has to complete his degree requirement.

Umpires will be moved to backfield
Players with NFL jerseys have to pay attention to it: the league will move umpires into the offensive backfield this year in a safety move according to the report of ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
Citing the protection of the officials as the motivating factor, departing vice president of officiating Mike Pereira said the move was being made. The league has tinkered with the idea in the past. Umpires were placed in the backfield on an experimental basis in the 2001 preseason. The league also looked at it by moving the men in action in now defunct NFL Europe.
The umpires had been knocked down 100 times in 2009. Two men suffered concussion and three requires surgeries for knee and shoulder issues.

Cardinals sign Joey Porter
Four-time Pro Bowl linebacker Joey Porter will wear ardinals jersey. Cardinals signed the man for a three-year contract on Friday.
Porter, entering his 12th season, spent the past three with the Miami Dolphins, who released him in March. He played the first eight years of his career with the Steelers. I was looking to play for a West Coast team and I know everything Whiz is about,” Porter said at the time. “He had me over there in Pittsburgh for eight years so I don’t have to be blindsided by some new coaches and trying to wonder how I fit. I know exactly how I fit. I know how he would try and use me if I was here and I am just trying to be a piece to the puzzle that’s already there.”
He could no longer play at the elite level he had been in Pittsburgh.

Steelers open at home
Players with steelers jersey will open the season at home at Heinz Field, not as the featured opening game against the reigning Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints at the Superdome.
Steelers team president Art Rooney II told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that the AFC North franchise will open the season at home Sept. 12 due to scheduling conflicts with Major League Baseball’s Pittsburgh Pirates."We won’t be playing in New Orleans," Rooney told. "We have to be home that weekend because of the baseball schedule. Unless they wanted to play us away three weeks in a row, and I don’t think they’ll do that. We suspect we’ll open at home and be on the road the next two weeks."

Dwan Edwards plans to be a Buffalo Bill
Former defensive end Dwan Edwards with ravens jersey agreed to terms on a four-year and the team will officially sign his contract later today.
“It’s a done deal, I’m going to be a Buffalo Bill,” Edwards told National Football Post during a telephone interview early this morning. “It would have been nice to stay in Baltimore, but the NFL is a business. At that point, I didn’t have an offer with Baltimore.“They had already pulled the deal and I had lost my bargaining leverage. The Bills are flying in my family on a private jet and we’ll sign everything today. It’s been a roller-coaster ride. Free agency has been crazy for me.”
The Bills were Edwards’ third free agent visit following previous meetings with the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos.

Arenas deserves the gun prank
Gilbert Arenas with wizards jersey says he deserves to be punished for bringing guns to the locker room.
The suspended Wizards guard told Esquire manazine that he was not using longevity thinking when he took out four guns in waht he says was an attempt to play a prank on teammate Javaris in December. “I have a painting of him in my garage. I just walk by it with my head down,” Arenas said. “I called Mrs. Pollin and said, ‘If Abe was still with us, I would’ve had to talk to him, so I’m gonna give you the same respect. I want to say sorry to you. I deserve to be punished. I’ll do everything it takes to get back your husband’s respect.”’
Arenas pleaded guilty to a felony gun charge in January and will be sentenced next week.

L.T. has good choice
It's no doubt that LaDainian Tomlinson will still wear NFL jersey to go along his career.
Tomlinson wants to play for a contender, and is willing to take on a complementary, third-down type role. It so happens the Vikings, after losing Chester Taylor, and the Jets, after releasing Thomas Jones, are in the market for such a veteran. Reports are that if Tomlinson doesn’t sign with Minnesota by late Thursday or early Friday, he’ll lean on landing with New York.
Both Jets and Vikings are ideal. The Jets are the league’s best rushing team and the Vikings are due to rebound after finishing only 13th in that category last season.

Lakers hardly escape the funk
Though Kobe Bryant with lakers jersey made the euphoria in the latest game-winning shot, it did not last long to fall from the Staples Center roof onto the Toronto Raptors' heads.
Despite their 47-18 record and their perch atop the Western Conference standings, Bryant and his teammates say the Los Angeles Lakers are in their worst funk of the season. If they constantly must rely on Bryant’s brilliance to bail them out at the buzzer, as he has done roughly twice a month this season, the superstar realizes their NBA title defense is likely to be gut-wrenching— and short. This thing tonight was garbage,” Bryant said Tuesday night after the Lakers beat Toronto 109-107 on Bryant’s 17-foot fallaway jumper with 1.9 seconds left.
Bryant said they scored a lot of points and they have got to stop people.

Jamal Williams joins Broncos
Nose guard Jamal Williams will wear broncos jersey. The team made the news offical, announcing their deal to the public.
The ESPN said Williams agreed to a three-year, $16 million deal that has a maximum value of $22 million with $7 million guaranteed. The Broncos’ front seven is getting stouted by the day with the additions of former Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman Justin Bannan, former New England Patriots defensive end Jarvis Green and now the 6-foot-3, 348-pound Williams, formerly of the San Diego Chargers.
“Jamal is a leader and a proven high-end player at his position,” general manager Brian Xanders said. “He has anchored some of the NFL’s best run defenses during his career, and we are fortunate to add him to our roster.”

Alston is unfortunate
Guard Rafer Alston with heat jersey was absent from the practice again, and his second stint with the team appears over.
His lone communication with the team in several days has been through text messaging.
“It’s unfortunate because we’re going through a major playoff push right now,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said Monday. “And what we’ve emphasized since the very first day of training camp is purity. You’re either in or you’re out. And I guess he’s declared that he’s out. So we know who our group is now.”
Spoelstra said the Heat have spent the past few days deciding who, if anyone, they would sign to replace Alston, who remains on the roster. Without him, the Heat have only two point guards, Carlos Arroyo and Mario Chalmers, though Dwyane Wade logs plenty of minutes at the position.

Suns beat Pacers by 2 fights
Players with nba jerseys really throwed their punches.
Amare Stoudemire scored 30 points for the third consecutive game and the Suns beat the Pacers 113-105 for the 1,900th victory in franchise history in a game marred by two fights and eight technical fouls.“We have the reputation of being soft,” Indiana’s Earl Watson said, “but we’re not going to give in to anybody.”“I wasn’t going to punch him. It wasn’t about me punching. It wasn’t the right play, but it was me just letting him know I didn’t think that was acceptable.”
The loss was the Pacers' seventh in eight games and sixth in a row on the road. They now are 5-21 against Western Conference teams.

Sergio Llull's new dilemma
Spaniard Sergio Llull now is wearing the rockets jersey. He decides to stay with Real Madrid for at least one more season.
He’s been very successful in Spain, playing about 20 minutes per game for a stacked team and averaging more than eight points per game. He’s a good shooter and surprisingly athletic for a European. So he’s coming over to the NBA soon, right? Well, maybe not, as he told the Spanish website Público (translation via HoopsHype): To clarify, Llull isn’t involved in negotiations with the Rockets and trying to act like he may just stay in Spain forever. These are his legitimate feelings.
In past seasons, a player like Llull almost certainly would have jumped to the NBA.

Ravens also interested in Kevin
Wide receiver Kevin Walter also has a chance to wear the ravens jersey according to multiple league sources.
No deal is in the works at this point, but there is legitimate interest. The Ravens are expected to face competition for Walter from several teams, including the Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots and the Jacksonville Jaguars. We’ve been told that nothing is expected to happen immediately in regards to Walter. Walter has the requisite size at 6-foot-3, 218 pounds with sound hands and blocking ability.
He’s not regarded as an ideal featured wideout since he doesn’t have outstanding speed, but he’s able to get open and is reliable and has gotten deep on occasion while playing opposite Pro Bowl wide receiver Andre Johnson.

Tebow Passes Credit to Dolphins QB Coach
Quarterbacks coach David Lee who coached players with miami dolphins jerseys was helped by Tim Tebow to rebuild his throwing motion before his on-campus workout March 17.
"I’ve learned a lot from coach Lee," Tebow told the Miami Herald. "He’s a great coach. We worked a lot on different drops, on coming out of play actions, adjustments in plays they had. It’s a wonderful experience for me. "It’s more like a tweak, it’s not necessarily changing my whole motion, just the way I’m holding the ball and kind of how I’m getting to where I’m throwing it. … It’s not necessarily that I’m throwing the ball higher, but I am holding the ball higher, not dropping it, not getting that loop in my release."
